One of my favorite light dinners is Brussels sprouts and konnyaku simmered oden style with a bowl of rice on the side. Some hot mustard gives it just the right bit of kick.

- ChubbypandaChubbypandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12930326230203564199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6530619.post-1160447308682156592006-10-09T19:28:00.000-07:002006-10-09T19:28:00.000-07:00Thanks so much!!Sounds so easy and, of course, ext...Thanks so much!!

Sounds so easy and, of course, extremely yummy! :)Whooshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13327619743101158130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6530619.post-1160431381250862192006-10-09T15:03:00.000-07:002006-10-09T15:03:00.000-07:00Sera: I just get some brussels sprouts, cut them ...Sera: I just get some brussels sprouts, cut them in half, then steam them for about 5-6 minutes until they are tender. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan, then add sliced shallots or red onions until they are soft. Add the brussels sprouts and make sure that the flat side is facing down on the pan. Heat for awhile- don't touch them- until they get really dark. The Firefly Bistro version uses pancetta too...I have to use those next time but I'm trying to watch my fat intake...although, screw it! I'll try it that way next time.

Tokyo Rosa: Hi!
